Dr. Amelia Hart
Biography
Amelia founded the mental health service at Olivrae after twelve years in NHS adult psychology, where she led a trauma pathway serving several thousand patients. She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and is accredited in both cognitive behavioural therapy and EMDR.
Her clinical interest is in the point where physical and psychological symptoms stop being separable — persistent pain, long-term illness, the exhaustion that follows a difficult year. She writes and teaches on integrating psychological care into physical rehabilitation, and supervises the clinic's trainee therapists.
Outside the clinic Amelia is a keen open-water swimmer, which she describes as the only reliable way she has found to stop thinking about work.
